Check System Requirements

Download Kali Linux ISO File

Create a Bootable USB Drive

  4. Start the process and wait until it finishes.

Boot From USB Drive

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Open the Boot Menu using keys like F12, ESC, or DEL.
  3. Select the USB drive from the boot options.

The Kali Linux installation menu will appear.


Start Kali Linux Installation

Choose Graphical Install for an easy setup process.

Follow These Steps:

  1. Select your language.
  2. Choose your location and keyboard layout.
  3. Set the hostname and username.
  4. Create a strong password.
  5. Select the disk for installation.
  6. Choose Guided – Use Entire Disk for beginners.
  7. Confirm disk partition settings.
  8. Start the installation process.

The installer will copy files and configure the system automatically.


Install GRUB Bootloader

During setup:

  1. Choose Yes to install the GRUB bootloader.
  2. Select your main hard drive.

This allows Kali Linux to boot properly after installation.


Finish Installation

Once installation is complete:

  1. Remove the USB drive.
  2. Restart your computer.

Kali Linux will now boot directly from your hard drive.


Update Kali Linux

After installation, update your system using the terminal:

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y

This installs the latest security patches and software updates.
